What is Conservatism?

Conservatism is hard to define as it is divided into multiple types. For example, Liberal Conservatism is an ideology that combines both liberal and conservative policies, especially on social and economic factors. Liberal conservatism supports the capitalist system and civil liberties. Other types of conservative ideologies are Authoritarian, Paternalism, One Nation and New Right.  Conservative ideology has a number of core values that reflect their beliefs such as tradition, human imperfection, organic society, hierarchy and authority, property and order and security. Order and security is the belief that security such as prisons is needed to maintain the order of institutions within society.
