Ecologism is an ideological theory based on the
idea of a relationship between mankind and nature. It reflects on how society’s
connection to nature is taken for granted. Ecologism created a link with political

industrialisation as it destroys the connection between the people and nature. During
the end of 1970s, Ecologism had theoretically developed into three main
parts. The first was the

environment. Anthropocentrism. This is the belief that humans needs and
interests should be prioritised. Lastly the emergence of the idea of ‘deep
ecology’, which is an ideology that rejects anthropocentrism and prioritises
maintenance of nature, which is associated with diversity and much more.
